Dog Park/Doggy Daycare Attendee

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our care. You will interact with pets and their owners, ensuring that each dog receives the attention and care they need while at our facility. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will be key in creating a positive experience for both dogs and their owners.

Duties

  • Supervise dogs during playtime to ensure safety and proper behavior

  • Provide individual attention to each dog, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed

  • Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play areas, and equipment

  • Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management

  • Assist with customer service by greeting pet owners and addressing any questions or concerns

  • Implement training techniques as needed to promote good behavior among dogs

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a secure environment for pets

Skills

  • Experience in pet sitting or animal handling is preferred

  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners

  • Knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding schedules and health monitoring

  • Basic understanding of dog training techniques is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with both pets and their owners

Guest Experience Lead (Evening Shift – Dog Park & Events Focus)


As the Guest Experience Lead – Evening Shift, you’ll be the point person for managing guest experiences in the bar and dog park. You’ll oversee the evening crew, maintain a welcoming environment, plan events, and ensure our operations run smoothly. You’ll also help train new team members and lead by example in delivering great service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the bar/park team during evening hours

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site events and promotions

  • Ensure a fun, safe, and clean environment for dogs and guests

  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure top performance

  • Audit daily checklists and track operational compliance

  • Manage customer inquiries and feedback professionally

  • Assist with inventory tracking and ordering

  • Coordinate closely with the General Manager and ownership

What We’re Looking For:

  • Event planning or coordination experience preferred

  • Previous leadership experience in a hospitality or customer-facing role

Flex Role

The Flex Team Member plays a key support role in creating a seamless, enjoyable experience for guests at Taps & Tails. This hybrid position focuses primarily on dog park drink service, while also assisting the bartender and maintaining cleanliness throughout the bar and dog park. The goal of the Flex is to keep the bartender behind the bar by handling side tasks and ensuring quick, efficient service to every guest.

Primary Responsibilities

Dog Park Drink Service (Primary Role)

  • Circulate the dog park area regularly with a handheld device to:

    • Take and deliver drink orders promptly

    • Engage with guests and provide information on the food and drink menu

    • Check in on guest needs and overall satisfaction

  • Monitor and bus dirty glassware from the park area

  • Relay guest feedback, safety concerns, or incidents to management or in shift notes

Bar Support Duties

  • Wash dishes and sanitize utensils during service

  • Restock bartender essentials (ice, glassware, napkins, straws, etc.)

  • Tap kegs and maintain an organized keg cooler

  • Assist with inventory restocking and rotation (beer, liquor, mixers, food)

  • Prep garnishes or simple drink components as needed

  • Support bar cleanliness: wipe counters, clean soda guns, sweep behind bar during downtime

  • Complete weekly/monthly deep-cleaning tasks in bar areas

  • Assist bartender with nightly closeout procedures

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and strong guest service skills

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to clean, lift, and support physically active tasks (kegs, trash, etc.)

  • Comfortable working around dogs and pet owners

  • Previous experience in food/beverage or hospitality preferred but not required

  • Must be 21+

Bartender

We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience in a dog focused atmosphere. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes salary and tips.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks

  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

  • Plan and present bar menu

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

  • Cross train on dog software

  • Understand dog rules and regulations

  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks

Assistant Manager – PM/Weekends (Bar & Dog Park Operations)

This position is ideal for someone who loves hospitality and dogs in equal measure. You’ll manage a lively bar environment while overseeing the safe operation of our off-leash dog park. You’ll supervise and support bar staff and dog attendants, keep service flowing smoothly, handle guest concerns, and maintain a clean, safe, and fun space.

Bar Operations

  • Oversee all bar operations during PM and weekend shifts, ensuring fast, friendly, and high-quality service.

  • Manage bar inventory, place orders, and maintain stock levels for beverages and supplies.

  • Train, coach, and supervise bartenders and barbacks.

  • Ensure all alcohol service complies with state and local laws.

  • Assist with drink menu updates and bar promotions.

Dog Park & Guest Experience

  • Supervise the dog park to ensure safety rules are followed for both pets and people.

  • Support park attendants in managing playgroups and monitoring dog behavior.

  • Address guest questions or concerns with professionalism and warmth.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both bar and dog park areas.

Team Leadership

  • Train and schedule staff for both bar and dog park positions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a management or supervisory role in hospitality

  • Passion for dogs and ability to work around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Physically able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $40,000/year

Do I need dog handling experience?

While prior dog handling experience is a plus, it is not required. Taps & Tails is a unique dog hospitality facility, and we provide comprehensive training to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in this role.  

Is this a full time or part time role 

We offer both and have a nice mix of full time and part time employees. For full time employees interested in growing with our organization, we provide growth opportunities and will continue to expand as we grow in the next 1-3 yrs. 

What is a dog bar?

It is a full service monitored dog park/play space where we have trained and paid staff ensuring the dogs are playing safely and the guests are having a fun and comfortable experience. Guest’s dog gets exercise and they can relax and have a drink!
